MED-EL Electronics commissioned OT House to create Oli’s Story, an interactive film that follows first-time parents Sara and Alex Brown as they discover their 18-month-old son Oliver’s hearing impairment.

OT House delivered the project end-to-end: we developed the script, cast the actors, sourced locations, designed and built the sets, and managed the full production. Post-production was also completed in-house, including editing and the composition of an original score.

The interactive format allows viewers to explore the Browns’ journey in short chapters, each focusing on a different stage of their experience — from the initial realisation and medical assessments, through to surgery and, ultimately, Oliver hearing sound for the first time.

Hosted on MED-EL’s Hear2Live interactive website, the film is designed as both an educational resource and a counselling tool for parents and families.
